SERVICES
The history of the United Methodist Community House (UMCH) can be traced back to 1902 when a group of women from the First United Methodist Church of Grand Rapids came together to do settlement work. Through the years, the program was expanded to meet the growing needs and challenges of the community. Today, UMCH is truly a place where the community gravitates for its daily necessities. Nowhere is this devotion to service exemplified more than in UMCH’s mission— “Increasing the ability of children, youth, adults and families to succeed in a diverse community.” The UMCH collaborates with area agencies to offer a range of family friendly programs ranging from childcare to family and senior programs.
