The LOOP after school program was developed through the Expanded
Learning Opportunities (ELO) Initiative in partnership with the Grand
Rapids Public Schools. The ELO Initiative is a coalition of over 120
community partners, co-chaired by Grand Rapids Mayor George Heartwell,
and Brian Craig of ProgressiveAE. ELO is working to ensure that every
child in the City of Grand Rapids has access to quality after school
programs, and a LOOP program in every elementary and middle school.
