UMCH SUMMER CAMP APPEAL
Recently, Camp Optimist (a 120-acre woodland, full-service day camp) approached UMCH about a partnership to have full use of Camp Optimist for the summer.
With UMCH’s Youth Program and Camp Optimist aiming To Bring Out the Best in Kids, it seemed like the perfect opportunity for UMCH to offer inner-city kids a traditional summer camp experience!
Based on their ability to pay, all parents contribute something toward their child’s camp fees. We estimate that we still need
about $30,000 this year to ensure that all children that want to attend camp can. This is where we need your help! Your donation of $100 (less than $.30 per day for a year) will help pay for one week of camp for a child!
It is our responsibility as a community to enrich children’s lives by opening doors to create a positive future for all children.
Each of us can help “Bridge the Gap” for our kids. Thank you in advance for helping to make this a reality!
