The Youth
Development Department offers a nationally
accredited After School Center. This center offers parents
an excellent solution to the problem of having young
children unsupervised at home during that vulnerable out of
school time. The department offers such activities as
Homework Club, tutoring/mentoring, recreational activities,
sports, arts and crafts, and dance. The needs of older youth
are also addressed with a Teen Leadership program, Rites of
Passage, Teen Talk, and social dances. All activities
include a literacy enhancement component.
